I look forward to welcoming you on August 12, 2026, for our Fall Academic Convocation.

As we begin a new academic year, Convocation offers a special opportunity to come together as a community of educators, scholars, mentors, and staff united by a common purpose: the success of our students. It is a time to celebrate our accomplishments, welcome new colleagues to Utah Tech, and reflect on the impact we have through our collective efforts.

This year's Convocation theme, "Uniting Trailblazers Around Student Success," reflects our commitment to helping students learn, grow, achieve their goals, and prepare for meaningful lives and careers. Together, we will celebrate that mission and explore how we can continue advancing student success across the University.

We will also hear from President Shane B. Smeed, who will share his vision for building on our strengths, embracing new opportunities, and creating an even greater impact for our students and communities through Uniting Trailblazers: Strategic Plan 2030.
I hope you will join us as we launch the academic year together and recommit ourselves to the success of every student we serve.
