I look forward to seeing you on August 11th at the Fall 2025 Academic Convocation! This unique day brings the best of our campus community together for a new academic year and offers a unique chance to reflect on our many past accomplishments. I particularly look forward to welcoming the amazing new faculty and academic staff joining Utah Tech for the first time.

This will be an opportunity to hear from the 19th President of Utah Tech University, President Shane B. Smeed, whose leadership marks a historical moment at Utah Tech University and within the greater St. George community. As President Smeed begins his tenure, he looks forward to sharing his thoughts on the unique value proposition of Utah Tech University, and the centrality of faculty and academic staff to that vision.
