About the Global Polytechnic Education Alliance

Since 2009, the Summit has been an annual gathering of the most inspired and provocative thinkers from the faculty, staff and leadership at polytechnic and applied science universities in Europe and the United States.  This year, invitations are being extended to polytechnic and applied science universities from across the globe to participate in deep and critically important dialogue about the acute and growing shortage of technology talent, including both student enrollment as well as faculty and staff recruitment and retention.

The Summit is organized by the Global Polytechnic Education Alliance, with founding members Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences (DEU), Coventry University (GBR), Technological University Dublin (IRL), Lucerne University of Applied Sciences (CHE), Purdue University (USA), and University of Wisconsin-Stout (USA).  This collaborative alliance seeks to address distinctive, high impact opportunities to advance the quality and effectiveness of the polytechnic academic model.
