Purpose
Utah Tech University promotes active learning and student engagement by encouraging faculty research, scholarly, and creative activities through the new Research Center Grant program (RCG). The Center will be a resource for research activities aligned with the polytechnic mission and should have a focus or theme that directly connects back to our local region.
Funding levels for the implementation of the new Center may range from $10,000 to $25,000 total, and can include stipends for a Director, Faculty Affiliates, staffing, undergraduate students, and other allowed expenses (details in budget section of proposal template) for up to two years. The proposal must have a plan to secure external funding and identify potential funding organizations to continue supporting the Center after the proposed period of performance.
This program will be administered through the Research Office. For more information, or if you have questions about the program, please visit https://academics.utahtech.edu/ro or email us at research@utahtech.edu. Grant proposals will generally be due around September and January of each year. Please see below for the next upcoming deadline. For the 2022-2023 academic year, we anticipate funding one new Center.
All documents for your proposal must be submitted to the RO by email (research@utahtech.edu) no later than September 19, 2022. (Note: Spring 2023 deadline is anticipated to be approximately February 28, 2023).
