Once a Notice of Award (NOA) is issued, the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) will review it and work with the principal investigator (PI) and his/her/their department to set up a project. Any award notice sent directly to the PI should be forwarded to the OSP to ensure that the award is appropriately handled.
Tip: It is essential to arrange a training session with the OSP if you are new to this process.
The NOA concludes the “pre-award” activities and initiates the “post-award” processes for the grant. This step is designed to assist you with post-award management and help you understand your responsibilities for post-award management.
